About Us
Lake Norman MS Support Group is an active support group for those living with Multiple Sclerosis and their families. Our group provides a safe and supportive environment for individuals to share their experiences, gain knowledge about MS, and connect with others who understand their journey. We are dedicated to offering emotional support, educational resources, and a sense of community to all members.

I have led the Lake Norman MS Support Group for 15 years. I am an MS-certified nurse and have lived with MS since age 19. I love to share my story and support everyone living with MS. I have actively volunteered with the National MS Society for over 10 years.

I have been married to my high school sweetheart, Rob, for 34 years, and we have a dachshund, Wille! We are originally from Ohio, but Huntersville has been home since 2000.

My nursing career specialized in pediatrics, NICU, and prenatal education. I love to teach!

My hobbies include baking and decorating cookies, diamond art, flowers, and computer and website work. I enjoy helping friends and family, am active with our church, and love singing in the choir.

I currently work part-time with Avista PR and Marketing as a project manager and help with marketing at Organized Sunshine.

Though I’ve called Lake Norman home since 2019, my heart will always belong to New England. These days, I live in charming Davidson with my wonderful husband of 30 years, Adam, and our sweet, lovable dog, Fred.
We’re proud parents to two amazing grown children—Alex, who’s 28, runs his own real estate investment company, and is based in beautiful Salt Lake, and Laura, our caring 25-year-old nurse who lives in Wilmington with her husband, Patrick.

I absolutely love to travel, whether it’s visiting our kids and family or setting off on new adventures. Cruising is my favorite—Adam and I have been on so many, I’ve lost count! There’s just something magical about being out on the open sea.

Since February 2024, I’ve been living with an official diagnosis of RRMS. Each day, I choose to see as a fresh start, a blank page filled with possibilities. I’m incredibly grateful for the warmth and support of my MS community, which inspires me every day.
